Easy pose is a simple basic seated posture. Adding a twist provides a greater stretch to relieve tension in the back. Some of the benefits include:

-Providing a stretch for hips, knees, and ankles

-Stimulating the kidneys and digestive organs

-Aiding detoxification

-Increasing flexibility throughout the spine, shoulders, and chest

To access this pose, follow these steps:

1. Start in a cross-legged seated position.

2. Sit up tall aligning your head, neck, and spine.3. Bring your left hand to the outside of your right knee and place your right hand on the floor behind you.

4. As you exhale gently twist to the right bringing your gaze behind you.

5. Stay lengthened through your torso and do not round your shoulders.

6. Repeat on both sides.

This pose can also be practiced in a chair, on a folded blanket, or with the use of a strap to facilitate the twist.
